Our credential training renewal feature allows admins to find expired credentials, renew them, and reassign training in one step!

In our article How to assign training requirements for credential recertification, you can learn how to create credential learning plans and assign them to students by credential type. You can then find existing credential training assignments in the Credentials area under the Admin Menu, or you can also find them with all other training assignments (Admin Menu, Assignments/Learning Plans, Manage Existing Assignments)

Here's how update credentials and renew training:

    1. Find all credential assignments for the org: under the Admin menu, select Credentials, then go to Credential Assignments.
    1. Click the Edit button on each assignment and go to the Personnel section. If there are any users with expired credentials or completed training, you will to be prompted to update credentials and assign new training
    1. When you click on the Update link you will see a filtered list of all expired credentials on the assignment, as well as suggestions for new dates based on the user’s current setup. You can accept the suggestions or edit them. If you want to change your training period logic for all users (either have same assignment start/end dates for all or based on credential validity date), you can do it at the bottom of the page. You can even set the due date for all users to be X days before their individual credentials expire. In this example, the due date will be set at 14 days before each credential expiration.
    2. Select the credentials you’d like to update and move into a new assignment. Once you click update and confirm you’d like to renew, your new assignment will be automatically created. Note: if you renew other credentials later you will select an existing assignment rather than creating a new one. That way you will track all training for a given credential type on the same assignment.
    3. You will find the new credential for the user, too.
