    Academy - What are the Academy Trusted Network Features?

    The Trusted Network features allow you to share and access different types of training and data with other Academy agencies that you have added to your network. With this feature, you be able to do the following:

    • Share content and even host Events and Webinars* with all of Academy users or only your network of trusted organizations.
    • Share not just files (which can be several GB in size), but fully built courses, sets of courses grouped by topic, and even complete learning plans**
    • Those looking for content can easily find it with advanced search/filtering capabilities. Our Training library can be searched by course name, type, topic, and accreditation tag.
    • Shared content can be assigned to individuals or groups of people in the organization. Our Assignments feature includes automatic and ad/hoc notifications, advanced date settings and many other admin tools to track progress and completion.
    • With Management Features, you can set up special trust relationships that allow cross-agency data sharing and member management. Particularly beneficial when members work for multiple organization or organizations are set up in a parent-child relationship.**

    Courses

    • By accessing a full course, rather than just a file, you can take advantage of all the LMS course capabilities already built in: anti-cheating, saved course progress, easy navigation, mobile compatibility, and ratings.
    • Courses can be used to build activities that members can self-report on.
    • Courses can be easily assigned to members. 

     

    Any course that has been shared with you is searchable on the Training menu, under Courses from Trusted Network

     

    Once Customer Support has set up your Trusted Network, you can share any of your Custom courses yourself by adjusting the visibility settings under Course Settings.

    You can share courses to all of the Academy community, your state or some or all of your Trusted Network.

    Topics

    Use topics to group a set of related courses, so that they are easily found. By sharing a topic, you allow others to contribute courses to those topics.

    Find available topics under Training > Topics.

    Contact Support to share a topic with your network. 

    Note courses in the topic will need to be shared as well.

    Learning Plans

    By using a learning plan, reusable training requirements have been prebuilt, which saves considerable time and effort. You can just assign to users with a few clicks.

    Find available learning plans under Admin > Assignments and Learning Plans > Manage Existing Learning Plans. 

    Note that shared learning plans can only be edited by the owner organization (creator).

    Contact Support to share a learning plan with your network.

    Reports

    Access training completion data for members of any organization you manage without leaving your site.

    As you create a report, you can select any organization whose data has been shared with you.

    Once you have been set up to trust the organization that will access your personnel training data, no further action is required to share.

    Member & group management

    Manage members and groups for any organization you oversee without leaving your site.

    Go to Admin > Members to add, edit or deactivate any members and groups you are allowed to manage.

    Once you have been set up to trust the organization that can manage your members and groups, no further action is required.

    Events (add-on subscription)

    Invite other organizations subscribing to Academy Events to in-person or webinar*** training events you are hosting.

    You can register for any event you have been notified of in the Academy Events feature. 

    The Event host can also register you.

    Notify others of your event by registering them yourself. Otherwise, you can send an email (outside of the feature) or publish the event and ask people to go register.

    *Requires Events add-on subscription.

    **Requires Lexipol support. Management Features must be requested by Parent/Trusted organization.

    ***Requires GoToWebinar account for integration with Events.
